Belgium wouldn't need an introduction anymore.
DJ Rebel, Antwerp based dj and producer, is notorious for rocking parties, clubs and festivals from Brussels to the Belgian seaside. Uplifting and pumping sets going from Progressive & Big Room House with a little urban touch keep his crowds going crazy for both his own tracks, and bootlegs and mashups of his favorite tunes.
Meet DJ Rebel, Belgium's most successful commercial house dj and producer for the past several years.
DJ Rebel knows how to produce a smash hit. In 2009 he served no less than five Belgian Top 10 hits (Never alone, U got 2 know, Merengue (ft. Robert Abigail), U can call me Al and Cuba)! The summer of 2010 will be remembered as the summer of Meneando, a collab with M.O. (Main Objective) and Robert Abigail.
Amongst his many successful productions, Rebel's latinhouse hits stand out. Your best example is the summer of 2011, when he teamed up again with Robert Abigail for Cuba, a cover of the famous track by the Gibson Brothers. Their latinhouse twist of this classic resulted in a golden record (+10.000 copies sold) and a summer in which the entire country knew this summer hit from the back of their heads!
With tons of tracks on his discography already, DJ Rebel is determined to keep the productions and remixes coming. Collaborations with Mystique, M.O., Jessy, Denzel and Abie Flinstone have proven to be instant hits and his remixes for Pitbull, Akon, Snoop Dogg, Flo Rida, Kevin Lyttle, Agnes, Kat Deluna and Kaya Jones have put him on an international level.
Rebel is now ready for the next level.
He's got a bunch of new smashing tracks ready to rock your ears.
His first BigRoom track "Get ready for this!" will be released soon. A collaboration with no one less than AHZEE (from the smash track "Born Again") and good friend "Dimaro"!
It's more than obvious that DJ Rebel has just begun his musical journey, and it's crystal-clear we are still going to hear a lot from him! All year long he's putting crowds on fire, but his favourite time of the year remains the summer, when his busy schedule brings him to major events such as Tomorrowland, Laundry Day and Summerfestival (where he hosts his own "DJ Rebel & Friends" stage).
Go find DJ Rebel at one of the many festivals, clubs or parties he will rock, and let your body speak for itself! Or, as Rebel explains himself: "I'm not afraid being classified as a party dj. That's wat dj'ing is all about for me. Watching hundreds and thousands of people going crazy on your beats: that's the best feeling a dj can get."
